Wartburg College singers and chamber orchestra to perform in Huntley
The Wartburg College Castle Singers and Kammerstreicher will perform a repertoire of music from Baroque to modern day on Friday, March 7, at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley. Courtesy of Wartburg College
On Friday, March 7, Wartburg College Castle Singers and Kammerstreicher chamber orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main St. in Huntley.
Sponsored by the SOTP Artist Series, the public is invited to attend this free performance. No tickets are required and freewill donations are gratefully accepted.
The Castle Singers have been hailed as a model of musicianship since their beginning in 1950 at the college in Waverly, Iowa. Featuring advanced vocalists who are dedicated to exploring challenging choral literature, the Castle Singers enjoy performing both on and off campus throughout the academic year. Under the direction of Nicki Bakko Toliver, this chamber ensemble continues to prepare a wide variety of repertoire from Byrd to The Beatles and beyond.
