Dilworth School
School
Dilworth School, often referred to simply as Dilworth, is an independent full boarding school for boys in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the largest full boarding school in both the country and Australasia. Owned and operated by a charitable trust, boys selected to attend do so on scholarships covering education and boarding costs.
History
[edit]Dilworth School was founded under the terms of the will of an Auckland farmer and businessman, Irish born James Dilworth who died in 1894.[2]
He and his wife Isabella had no children of their own and left their wealth to establish a school with a goal of educating sons of people from the top two-thirds of the North Island who had suffered some family misfortune and were unable to afford the education they wanted their children to have.

Press Release: Unknown
Wellington
1st – 18th May 2002
Expect two and a half weeks of roars, giggles, belly laughs, titters, guffaws, chuckles, sniggers, cackles, howls and rolling in the aisles! The Comedy Festival has something on offer for everyone’s laugh palette – from stand up to the latest international smash hit plays.
This year’s Comedy Festival is an initiative from four Wellington venues – Downstage, BATS, Circa and Indigo Bar and Venue. These venues bandied together when it was announced in November that the Auckland based Laugh Festival would not be returning to Wellington in 2002.
“A much anticipated highlight of the Wellington Arts calendar we thought it would be a great shame not to offer Wellingtonians their yearly dose of laughter”, says BATS programmer Paula van Beek. “We are pleased to not only offer the best comedy from Wellington and around the country, but are hosts to International comedians as well.”
Some of this year’s highlights include:
The 4 Noels (Australia)
Ross Noble (UK)
Sister Superwoman (NZ) performed and written by Josie Ryan (yes, Lucy Lawless’ sister)
Flight of the Conchords (NZ) before they jet their way to Edinburgh
The Swimming Lessons (NZ) fresh from their Auck
